Thanks for accepting the call to corporately study and share. We will be doing one chapter a day. I encourage as many as can, to read, study, meditate and share a thought/s from your devotion. May the Lord bless our devotions. Key Verse: Proverbs 1:7 The [reverent] fear of the LORD [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] is the beginning and the preeminent part of knowledge [its starting point and its essence]; But arrogant fools despise [skillful and godly] wisdom and instruction and self-discipline.

Ciruu Kiniti: Proverbs 25

V2 Always intrigues me. I have always been amazed at this verse. In my understanding I see a situation where God has concealed or hidden things for 2 reasons: That the righteous in Christ may study, seek after Him to find this...remember Wisdom is like treasure hidden deep. 2nd for our own good because humans have a limitation in their understanding.
Proverbs 25:2...indeed God conceals some things.
V6-7: Humility...self importance is being discouraged. But I've gone to places and yes sat in the back but in my heart I am thinking "when will someone notice me? I am important, watanipeleka pale mbele saa ngapi? Hapa hakuna humility. My motive is wrong. And I know that's what God wants to deal with. Genuine attitude. I stand rebuked.
V28. This is an area that Gof begun to work on the day I gave my life to Him. And it's one I am extremely conscious about. I can testify God has transformed me...of course I have moments of weaknesses and flip (literally) but I've seen such progress that I thank God for. Living without self control leaves one bare and completely exposed.

Vs 11 - I should be cautious to speak the right word at the right time. I recall when my brother passed away and brethren came to condole with us and they kept saying, it is well. Instead of being encouraged, I would be silent and feel more grieved 😓. I learnt..?
Vs 15 encourages us to be patient, calm / have a soft and gentle tongue.
Vs 21 - if our enemies are hungry we need to feed them and give them water if they are thirsty.
Vs 28 - the importance of self control. I am not perfect in this area but I am still depending on the Holy Spirit to complete me..

2. It is God’s privilege to conceal things and the king’s privilege to discover them. Proverbs 25:2 NLT
I think God delights i. his children searching the scriptures and seeking His wisdom. When Jesus walked the earth He often talked in parables. He only explained them to those who went to Him and asked what the parable meant. This encourages me to always seek God's perspective on everything, for it is the higher one.
V. 17 Don’t visit your neighbors too often, or you will wear out your welcome.
Proverbs 25:17 NLT this always makes me 🙂!! Yes there are those visitors that can wear you out. They stay forever!
V. 20 Singing cheerful songs to a person with a heavy heart is like taking someone’s coat in cold weather or pouring vinegar in a wound.

This is a pet peeve of mine. As @Joyce obed said i also experienced this during a time of mourning. Someone actually told my siblings and I that we shouldn't mourn for my dad was "old" when he died! I think this verse tells us to be appropriate in every situation.
