THE BOOK OF PROVERBS: MAY 2020 DEVOTION

An intricate analysis.
Shalom Family,
Thanks for accepting the call to corporately study and share. We will be doing one chapter a day. I encourage as many as can, to read, study, meditate and share a thought/s from your devotion. May the Lord bless our devotions. Key Verse: Proverbs 1:7 The [reverent] fear of the LORD [that is, worshiping Him and regarding Him as truly awesome] is the beginning and the preeminent part of knowledge [its starting point and its essence]; But arrogant fools despise [skillful and godly] wisdom and instruction and self-discipline.

Proverbs 10

: Proverbs 10
-I am loving that today's passage is centred around obedience and what comes forth from my mouth.
-Obedience to God comes with blessings like having the wisdom to strategise, work hard and working smart.
- My thoughts at this juncture is that I can't obey God if I have no reverence fear of Him which I am reminded from Proverbs 1 is the beginning of wisdom.
-Those who walk uprightly with God exude a great confidence.
- of today's passage one of the favourite things I've learned and I love is that out of the mouth of righteous man springs out a well of life. And I have pondered to ask myself in this season what have I been saying? Am I a spring of life? Naambia watu nini?[What do people draw from me?] Am I complaining or encouraging others.
- Lastly (because I can write a whole lot 😊) my obedience to instruction doesn't just bless me by making a way for me, but for others! Oh how I love this. I am not just doing this for self. Loved it.
Amen.. Obedience goes hand in hand with reverence.. 🙏 🙏
